Have you ever wondered what God wants you to do? If you could just figure that out, life would be so much easier. Our spiritual growth is often linked to a sum of our Holy Habits. Holy Habits, or spiritual disciplines, are some of the first steps a Christian needs to consider if we ever want to truly discern the Will of God. Holy Habits provide some foundation for aligning with Divine Guidance in your life.

The first thing all Believers in Jesus Christ should know is how to “Rebound.” Inevitably, because of the old-sin-nature that resides in each one of us, we will fall back into sin that removes us from fellowship with God. 1 John 1:9, is a verse given to believers so that we may rebound back into fellowship with God. Before we can ever try to discover God’s good, pleasing, and perfect will for our life, we need to know how to walk moment-by-moment in fellowship with Him.

A vision to strive for connects us to the future. Do you feel connected to a future that is an ending of time, sin, sorrow, death, and place as we currently experience it? Dunfee Missionary Church’s vision is manifest at the Cross. It is at the Cross that we meet the glory of God. The Cross points us to be devoted to: Him, one another, and reaching the world for Jesus.

A person’s decision to follow Jesus is very personal, but it is not meant to be private. It is a decision that should be celebrated. Jesus opens the heavens in Luke 15:10 for us to see the angels of God celebrating over each sinner who repents and begins a relationship with Him. Likewise, we are to celebrate their commitment in baptism. This is the third part of “A Mission to Live For.”

This week we look at the second part of “A Mission to Live For.” “Show them Jesus,” requires us to debunk the very thought that some people are far from God. On the cross, Jesus finished the work of reconciliation for all. What people need are friends that accept them where they are and “show them Jesus.”

Today’s message focuses on “truth.” To live a transparent life, we should be able to answer these questions: What is truth? What happens when truth does not matter? What happens when truth does matter? How do we discover truth? Truth separates us from the darkness of this world to bring light and glory to God.

Christians experience a changed life. We take off the old clothes that we once had and put on the new clothes provided by God. This scripture (Ephesians 4:20-24) is holding us accountable to our new self in God.
